Swedish Massage - Incorporates long strokes and kneading to soothe and increase circulation. My technique is to keep in constant contact with the body so as not to be distracting. Hot Stone Therapy - The ancient art of stone therapy combines hot stones and Swedish massage techniques. The stones act like small heating pads transferring deep, soothing heat to areas of need. This increases circulation to the hands and feet while calming the nerves and warming the body. Chair Massage - A sit down chair massage, often referred to as on on-site or corporate massage, usually takes place in a public setting (E.G., business location) and is done over clothing. Massage chairs also are excellent for working with clients who are more comfortable with sitting upright or a person who has difficulty getting on or off a massage table. Reflexology - Reflexotherapy is treatment by manipulation applied to an area away from the disorder. In physiologic terms a reflex is an involuntary response to stimulus. Deep Tissue - This method is effective especially around joints, where the tendons and ligaments become bound. Deep transverse friction is always a specific rehabilitation intervention. It introduces therapeutic inflammation through the creation of a specific and controlled injury of tissues. Lomi-Lomi - An ancient Hawaiian technique whereby the therapist and client are in constant contact using long strokes and kneading techniques using a higher amount of oil. Actually is more circular style motion , like a Hawaiian dance. Best for relaxation.
